How to Give Yourself a Tattoo
Have you ever seen a tatto that you could trace and have done but not really known how?
Well instead of going to a tattoo parlor why don't you try it this way instead?
Getting Started
This is going to be painful so if you are faint of heart or you do not have a high pain tolerance
then do not attempt this. I do not except any responsibility for any infections or
problems that may occur while you are working on your own tattoo. With that being
said what you are going to do is take a different color pen than the color you want and trace
the design, then you will dip the sterilized needle in a broken pens ink and follow the design by pricking
yourself. More than one coat will most likely be needed to finish the tattoo correctly.
- thin needles (amount of needles equal to number of colors)
- colored pens of choice(preferably none toxic)
- wash cloth, paper towel, or anyother CLEAN cloth to wipe away excess whatever
- bravery and guts this IS painful
- first things first you have t steralize everything, this is very important and this step will
be used more than once throughout the tattoo process. Take the needle and the lighter or matches wichever
you have and burn the needle so that it is steralized. Once it is burned take an aclohol pad and wipe off
until anything that wasn't burned off is off, note the needle will not be silver where you burned it more of
a almost burnt look is the best way to describe it. Now take another alclohol pad and wipe the area where the
tattoo will be placed.
The next thing that will be required is to wipe off the alclohol with your CLEAN rag, towel, ect. after
drying the alclohol draw your design in a DIFFERENT color than what you want, this way you have a guide to what
you will be tattooing and not just aiming mindlessly.
Once you have the design on there, its time to start making your tattoo, take a pen and open it so that
all there is the disposable ink cartridge, make sure that the needle has easy acess to the ink but there is still
enough room for the ink to move, without overflowing, when the needle is dipped into it.
When you dip the needle into the ink make sure that you do not put more than half of the needle in ink, it
is preffered that it is less than that because it can get very messy, now once there is ink on the needle you are going
to prick yourself with needle and follow the lines that you put on origanally. I recomend breaking the design up into
sections to make it more able to take breaks and not lose your last spot.
After about 5-10 pricks wipe off excess ink from the needle and resterilize the needle this is tedius
but it will help to make infections less of a problem, also be sure to change the needle for colors and if your
going to do this on a friend also change the needle, also for cleanliness issues.
TIPS
Make sure to keep everything steril this is very important.
The thinner the needle the better. You can control how long the tattoo stayes
on to make it permantent use more ink and prick until bleeding, for a shorter
term use normal amount of ink and prick only into the pores, note the less it
hurts the faster it will go away. Have a friend nearby so if anythinbg mishaps
your covered. Dont make a design with a lot of fill its very tedius and painful,
not to mention many hours-days worth of work. Unless you are putting a small tattoo
or are putting it in an unoticable spot make sure to get permision from your parents.
