The tourist town of
Yulara, Uluru and Katja Tuta are all owned and controlled by the
traditional owners, ie the local Aboriginal tribe, they have
inhabited the region for thousands of years.
Just walking around Ayers Rock and the Olgas you can really feel the history,
and the landscape has not changed much in all that time. The owners
ask that you not climb Ayers Rock, to them it is sacred land.
