When it comes to the 1980s, few actors were more important to popular culture than The Coreys: Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. Critically lampooned, The Coreys put out some of the most consistently great films of the decade, both individually, and together. Where would we be without "License To Drive?" Without "The Goonies" or "Lucas?" They even wore their sunglasses at night! Oh, wait - that was Corey Hart...

I must confess...I, Kelly, have a more extensive knowledge of the work and life of Corey Feldman. Or, at least, I did before I started research for this page. You see, I had a crush on Mr. Feldman when he was in "The Goonies" (I was 10). Josh Brolin was cute, but just too old for me. Sean Astin was too wishy washy. Corey Feldman, as the wise-acre "Mouth" was just my speed. I thought the part where he fixed his hair in the reflection of the toaster was just too rad. I thought Martha Plimpton was disgusting and not worthy of his affections. I actually saw "The Goonies" in the theater 3 times in large part due to Corey Feldman!

You will be happy to learn that my Feldman fixation has gone by the wayside. However, my research has done nothing to sway my partiality where The Coreys are concerned. The following are reasons I believe Corey Feldman to be superior to Corey Haim:

*The Goonies
*He has a band and I love musicians
*Stand By Me
*Was in two Friday The 13th films in the 80s alone
*Said in an interview that he's writing songs with Joe Elliott (of Def Leppard) and Rick Springfield
*Had several great lines in "Stand By Me," including, "While you guys are dragging your candy asses half-way across the state and back, I'll be on the other side, relaxing with my thoughts."
*In Yesterdayland.com interview stated his ultimate dream role would be Willy Wonka in a remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
*He has good hair (even if he used to style it in evil ways)
*Son of songwriter/record producer Bob Feldman, who wrote and produced "My Boyfriend's Back" for The Angels, produced "Hang On Sloopy" for The McCoys and was a member of The Strangeloves who had a #11 pop hit with "I Want Candy."
*In Yesterdayand.com interview, stated he's a fan of Frankenberry Cereal

Now, don't get me wrong, Corey Haim has his good points, too:

*Lucas
*Uttered the greatest line in the history of film in "The Lost Boys": "Death By Stereo!"
*Those baby blue eyes
*Wore bitchin threads in the 80s
*Has no shame in selling his junk on eBay

As you can see, there are far more reasons to find Feldman to be the superior Corey!

***UPDATE*** After seeing The Surreal Life on the WB network, all I can say is that I might have to seriously rethink my position on who truly is the superior Corey. Mother of all! Feldman has issues!

***UPDATE*** The Corey reality series, The Two Coreys is showing what our survey (scroll down) has shown thusfar... the Coreys are having much trouble proving whom is truly superior!

The Coreys did some of their best work together. "The Lost Boys" is still one of my favorite films ever. "License To Drive" is an 80s classic. I have yet to see "Dream A Little Dream," but I do look forward to that fateful day!
