Laura Branigan is one of my all-time favorite pop artists in the 80s. From Gloria to Self Control all of her songs were sung with passion with her stellar four-octave voice. She's someone I always wanted to see live, and you know what happens... you put it off and put if off... and suddenly there are no more chances. Laura was taken from us in August of 2004. I remember the night vividly as we were returning home from (ironically enough) a Rick Springfield concert when we heard it on the radio. I was floored - one of my idols was gone. Laura Branigan, we miss you and we salute you!
