The cover of the Arctic Cat 1975 sales brochure shows a Puma with a yellow seat. This sled is not an EXT or MOD.

I saw an original Puma backrest at a swap meet and it was white.
I also have a fairly clear, black and white picture of Larry Coltom on his 340 MOD and it looks like it has a white seat.

This is an original condition (after hitting a post!) 1970 Puma 399 EXT. The owner told me that the seat is white leopard and does not have any heat-seamed pleats.

I'm starting to believe that the 500, or so, "consumer" Pumas had the yellow leopard, and the "EXT" and "MOD" sleds had the white leopard.......

NEW INFO:
Everett Regal, head wrench for the famed "Widowmakers" race team, told me that the 634 MOD that Kenny Young drove to the MOD IV victory at the 1970 World Series had a white seat.
