Francis Schneider, from Wisconsin, sent in the following note and pictures:
"Here is some info about the sleds that I own;
1971 Puma 440 Sachs, which I took delivery of new from Borchert Arctic Cat (Neenah, WI) on July 25, 1970, my 19th birthday.
1971 Puma 440 Sachs which I bought as a parts sled, but fixed up for my son so that on January 27, 2001 (when he turned 12) we could ride together on a pair of matching '71 Pumas.
1971 House Cat inflatable kids toy that looks like a '71 EXT.
1974 Panther VIP.
1995 Puma 340 (my old '71 will blow the doors off this one!).
1996 Cougar 550, our "rocket" sled (though my son says the old Puma is more "fun").
1969 Johnson Challenger 297, which my father bought new from Ed's Boat Sales in Appleton, WI on January 4, 1970. This old girl was built for 1 year up in Manawa, WI.
All the sleds, except the VIP, are registered and ridden, with the Johnson being our main sled for sturgeon season on Lake Winnebago. Transportation, pulling shanties, etc., which it has donealmost yearly since it was new. The Cats are used for the high-speed things like shanty hopping, etc.
Remember, it's not junk, it's vintage!

July 25, 1970: a 1970 Duster, a 1951 Frank, and a brand new 1971 Puma!
A 2002 Chevy Silverado, the same 1951 Frank, and a 1995 Puma.

My original '71 Puma. Hood redone, decals from Frank Sadlon.
Puma "on wheels" because a wrist pin clip came out and hurt the engine. Running strong now, though.

Two Pumas. On the left is Joe's and on the right is my original.
First legal ride, father and son, 01.27.01 at the Low Buck Vintage Riders show.
