Join the Art Deco Society!
Share our interest in all design and cultural aspects of the Art Deco period by joining the Art Deco Society of NSW. Whether you have a general interest, are a collector, a professional (architect, designer, or antique dealer) or just feel you want to know more, we look forward to any contribution you can make.
You will be able to select from a wide range of events and functions run by the society. These are constantly changing, but here are a few examples to whet your appetite:
ARCHITECTURAL DISCOVERY WALKS
Expert guides lead members around exteriors
and through interiors of fine Art Deco buildings in the city and suburbs.
These have included tours of the famous `Boomerang' and walks around Kings
Cross, Cronulla, Randwick, and Lindfield amongst many others.
GUEST
LECTURERS
Carefully selected speakers entertain
and inform members. Recent talks have included David Denne, School of Design,
University of Technology, Sydney on Art Deco Interiors, and Ross Thorne,
Associate Professor of Architecture, University of Sydney.
FILM NIGHTS
Special screenings of films representing
the period, often held in Art Deco venues such as the Hayden Orpheum cinema
in Cremorne.
ANNUAL

a dinner dance or coach trip.
As a member you will also receive regular copies of The Art Deco Society of NSW Newsletter to keep you fully informed of coming events, art and theatre activities, film screenings and book reviews.
