Idar Oberstein is Germany's gem capital. This town is about 20 min. away from baumholder. They have some really neat shops, too.Lot's of museums of gems.
Idar Oberstein Castle
I have not been in this castle yet, but looking forward to it. I am hoping i can take pictures of the inside and visit the grounds. They weather has not been the best, so if it ever stops raining , we will go.
Church in the hill
I took these pictures shopping, but we are planning to visit the inside of the church soon. I have some friends that walked up the hill to get to the church. Let's hope you can drive.
