Call the Starcops? No way! Because you`re a BATTLETOAD and BATTLETOADS don`t cry, hide or call for help. BATTLETOADS get real MAD - and then they get EVEN!

So strap on your Blaster, power-up the Toadster and take a flying leap to the Dark Queen`s planet - but, watch out `toad - the lady`s bad and she`s got a whole mess of nasty surprises lined up for you - like the Psyko Pigs, the Mutant Ratpack, Robo-Manus and the Saturn Toadtrap to name a few.

You`re gonna need all your fighting skills to defeat her - the Battletoad Butt, the Big Bad Boot and Nuclear Knuckles, if you`re gonna rescue your freinds and get the frog outta there with your green skin intact!

So let`s get bad and crazy! Let`s get mad, `toad! And then get EVEN!

A personal review on this game...

Now, this game could`ve been brilliant on the Amiga CD32, but due to Mindscape getting information about the CD32 from a pimply, Saturday only, PC (or SNES) owner who works at that famous electrical retail outlet that ryhmes with `clicksons`, they were mis-informed about the CD32 controller having only 1 fire button - yes, we ALL KNOW that it has (hang on..) 7 fire buttons - which can increase upto 12 if the fire button is used as a `shift key` button.

But -oh no!- Mindscape just could not be arsed* to find out for themselves!
A quick bit from the all important instruction manual....

The control pad moves you around the screen and gives you the following capabilities:

So, as you`ve read, it is impossible to move AND punch at the same time - you HAVE to release control of the Toad, then press fire to punch the enemy - by this time, you`re dead!

If I remember, ths game got a very low score from the Amiga mags, and so it should.

Now, if Mindscape or Rare could get the programmers to give us some game patches/updates to get the controllers working properly - To make the game work on a A1200 with CD drive It would make me a very happy man!
...and another thing... It is very hard to read yellow writing on a bright pink background!

* - Could not be bothered. Help mode for all the people who call Petrol, Gas.
