Friday July 6th 2001, was a sunny afternoon - in ABERDEEN! Lindsey Fordyce, Kevin Ross, Stephen McDonald, Karen McNamee and myself (Elaine Anderson) had decided to go to T in the Park this summer. None of us had ever been before, and everyone except Kevin was looking forward to it. We boarded the bus and managed to get the back seats (GAME ON) but within 20 minutes of getting out of Aberdeen it was foggy/raining and darn right miserable! We arrived about 5.30pm and suprisingly it was sunny. The walk from the coach to the campsite we were told was long, but it wasnt, just across a field. We set up our tent and were like....... "Okay what we going to do next?!??!?!" we noticed alot of people heading up to the back of the campsite and by this time it was dark, Kev stayed in the tent while the rest of us had alook around then headed back to the tent! Cant remember much of Friday night I fell asleep at 10pm (SAD I KNOW)

We all woke up about 10am I was the last to wake, what a nice sleep I had! Karen and Lindsey were moaning cos there was no room, then we realised something - None of us had a fecking scooby when the event started!lol. Then it happened!...... Yes dinnertime came (12) and it started pissing of rain! Bin Liners out and hole in the bottom part - Wahey a make shift cagool lol! Started Quaeing and eventually got in. First place we went was Main Stage of course and cos we were the 1st hundred in we were right down the front, pity it was shite Tom McRae who is the new "Craig David" was on first - (Also he was a load of rubbish - Craig David My Arse!) After about 30 minutes of listening to his crap we left and looked about. Two pm came and we headed to STAGE 2 !!!!
