Oft cast as a villain, Billy Zane is playing the good guy in real life by helping to save heroin addicts. The actor has teamed up with eyewear designer Sheila Vance to build a string of drug rehab centers across America. The philanthropic pair's first center will be set up in Los Angeles next year. Zane, who has lost friends to heroin addiction, was sold on the idea when Vance 'bought' the actor as a celebrity date at a charity auction. The designer lost her only son to a heroin overdose. He says, "It's an insidious drug and my heart went out to this woman."
