One Long Day

it used to be that every day
when one of us had stuff to do
that for that time wed be be away
and i would then be without you

id wish and wait for it to end
and when the waiting would be done
id get to see you again
and together wed be one

the rest of my life will be one long day
and when that day is through
my life will be taken away
so the next day i can be with you.
