The common area of the cottage included a kitchen that was very well equipped and festively decorated. Here, the girls were busy preparing our first meal of the weekend.
Jocelyn with her favourite dog of the group, Honey. Honey has the bluest eyes I've ever seen on a dog.
That beagle is up to no good...
Putting a harness on a dog is not an easy task
Blondie gave me and Jocelyn a hard time
Finally, we're ready to hit the trail
I had almost zero exposed skin...except for the tip of my nose
While the others were dogsledding, I took a stab at snowshoeing
Boni, Jocelyn and I ride our horses around the paddock
This was my horse Cowboy, who was great except for the part where he almost rolled over while I was still sitting on him
That's me taking a very careful spin on the skating rink, which kept cracking and freaking me out
As you can see, they had to clear about a foot and a half of snow off the top of the lake before hitting the ice. Jocelyn was circling the rink with the snowshoes while we skated.
They were able to stack them pretty high before they toppled
Jocelyn found a new way to make the pancakes
I wasn't there in person, but I heard over the walkie talkie that Kimmy somehow got stuck waist-deep in the snow. Of course, I wanted proof
They were supposed to be moose-watching, but somehow they ended up participating in synchronized snowshoeing
She preferred the cross-country mode of transport. Plus we didn't have enough snowshoes to go around
Emily taking a group shot (she's represented by the skis)
Making our way across the lake, towing Boni behind us on the sled
We got as far as the snowmobile highway before turning back
