Cylinder Head details

After a long wait......the cylinder head is finally back. Here are some pictures of the work done.

Cylinder Head

Some of the valves have been replaced, and the chambers cleaned up. The surface has also been treated to a shave to get a good even surface.

Exhaust Ports

All the ports (Inlet and Exhaust) have been modified to increase flow efficiency. The FJ head is very good from the factory and radical modifications are not necassary to achieve good results.

Both Inlet and Exhaust ports were treated to a "Knife Edge" port job. A closer picture can be seen below.

Exhaust Ports

This close up of one of the exhaust ports shows the work that has been performed. This style of work is known as a "Knife Edge" due to the sharp point inside the port itself.
