Brakes information

The Front brakes on the car use the Sumitomo four spot calipers, with a 260mm vented disk. (Unsure of the origin for the disk). These calipers work extremely well, and make changing brake pads very easy. They have two pins at the top of the caliper which simply slide out and the pads can be pulled out through the top of the caliper. Very easy and very fast.

At this stage we have no plans to upgrade the braking package as it seems to do a very good job.

With the Castrol SRF brake fluid in the system, I am yet to experience any brake fade. I am sure however, that as the car gets quicker the brakes will be tested more and more.
