OI! FOR ENGLAND

Who the fuck are they?

Superyob first formed in 1996 when Ace(ex straw dogs) and Frankie flame dedcided to go into the studio and record a few numbers with some mates. These said tracks ended up on the Hammer compilaton more working class anthem, and then a further session ended up as the album Aggrophobia. This lp was fairly well recieved but as both Frankie and Ace were busy with other projects, they never really carried it on until 1999.Frankie and Ace,along with Aces brother and girlfriend then went into the studio to record another lp Machine guns and alcohol Again this lp was quite well recieved so the band decided to celebrate the occasion and play a gig at a pub in Crayford,Kent.Later that year the band also released a 3 track single which was given away free at gigs. There was only 200 hundred pressed and is one of the rarest Hammer singles to find.Things went quiet for a while until early 2001,when the band decided to get a proper line up together.Sid from Section 5 was drafted in on bass and Dave Haystacks on guitar and they played their debut gig with this line up at the Herne bay alldayer that june.At this gig the band met up with Scot Oi band On file and also the De kastelein crew from Belgium. The end result of this was a gig at the De kastelein in Novemeber that year and a couple of gigs with On file in May 2002.The band then decided to go into the studio again and record their 3rd lp,this being Ghetto Blaster .Musical inflences range from 60's bands like the Who and Small Faces to Glam rock, right thru to Punk and oi!.Plans for thr future are loads more gigs in the U.K and Europe and hopefully get the new lp out for the end of the year.....And that my Friends is SUPERYOB!
