100 Things. About me.


It seems to be all the rage right now among internet journalers. 100 things about me. You don't have to read them, but it's a bit introspective for me.


  1. I am 25 years old.
  2. I have one son.
  3. He is the biggest joy of my life.
  4. I want to have more babies after this one.
  5. So does my husband.
  6. I have been married for five years.
  7. I never thought I would get married when I was young.
  8. I married my high school sweetheart.
  9. We met in high school band.
  10. Even though I was in band, I do not play any instruments.
  11. I am more into writing.
  12. I am not good at it, I just enjoy it.
  13. I do not write anymore, except for this web journal, and a journal that I keep for our son.
  14. My husband thinks I should write more.
  15. My husband is more talented than I.
  16. People always underestimate him.
  17. I used to value intelligence.
  18. Now I value integrity.
  19. I consider myself both of the above.
  20. I also consider myself lazy.
  21. I have two inside dogs, even though we never had inside dogs when I was growing up.
  22. My dogs are two of my greatest irritations.
  23. I can't give them away, because we have history.
  24. Most people do not understand the above.
  25. I lived in one town for the whole of my life, until summer 2001, when we moved to Florida.
  26. I now live in Nashville, Tennessee.
  27. I am cornbread in a teasandwich world.
  28. I hated living in Florida, partly because of the heat...
  29. ...but mostly because I missed my family.
  30. I have four grandparents, six aunts and uncles, and nine cousins, not counting cousins' spouses and children.
  31. I used to see them at least once a week.
  32. I now see them every six months.
  33. I am extremely close to my parents and brother.
  34. My brother is 19.
  35. We hated each other when we were young.
  36. Now we trust each other.
  37. I don't know when it all changed.
  38. I used to attend school where my mom worked, and I saw her every day.
  39. I wish I still did.
  40. My husband graduated from recording school.
  41. I am terrified of being poor for the rest of my life.
  42. I hate working at a job.
  43. I want to stay home with my baby.
  44. My husband wants me to, also.
  45. I mostly hate working because i am stuck in entry-level jobs.
  46. This is because I did not finish college.
  47. Sometimes I am embarrassed that I didn't finish.
  48. I chose to get married instead.
  49. I made the right decision.
  50. If you would have said while I was in high school that I wouldn't finish college, I would have never believed it.
  51. I had a lot of friends during high school.
  52. I now only keep up with one of them.
  53. I don't miss most of them.
  54. I am not the same person that I was in high school.
  55. Several people have asked me why I am wasting my "intelligence" by not working to help people or solve some problem.
  56. The answer is because I would rather stay home with my husband and watch a movie.
  57. And I don't consider myself capable of great things.
  58. Ever since I was 12, I have wanted to own and operate an orphange.
  59. It will never happen.
  60. I have too much fear of the unknown, and I loathe change.
  61. I do plan to adopt children.
  62. My favorite food in the entire world is fresh green beans cooked by my Great-Grandma Perkins, who passed away several years ago.
  63. When I was born, I had four great-grandmas, and no great-grandpas. Three of my great-grandmas have since passed away.
  64. I have memories of all of them.
  65. One of my great-grandmas taught me to crochet.
  66. I don't really remember how, but I wish I did.
  67. I love arts and crafts, sewing, sculpting, everything artsy.
  68. But I don't have any real artistic talent.
  69. I want to take sewing and crocheting lessons, and eventually, I want to learn to throw a good pot.
  70. I have unusually small toenails.
  71. I love to get pedicures, except every time that I do, the lady painting my toenails remarks that they are very small.
  72. I don't think it is genetic.
  73. I also have very short fingers.
  74. I don't look like either parent, but a mixture of both families.
  75. I hope that I look like my mom when I am her age.
  76. All of my friends think that my dad is good looking.
  77. My brother is very tall, over six feet.
  78. I am very short, 5'4.
  79. I want to learn karate.
  80. If I could pick one profession out of everything in the world, I would be a rock star.
  81. That said, I can't sing at all. but I do love karoake.
  82. I have never smoked a cigarette or gotten drunk or seen illegal drugs of any kind.
  83. I wasn't allowed to watch various television shows as a child: Roseanne, The Simpsons, Ricki Lake, Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
  84. I still don't watch any of them.
  85. Except The Simpsons, one of the most clever shows on television.
  86. I am a crier. I used to cry every time my dad even looked at me wrong.
  87. Now I do the same with my husband.
  88. I know a lot more about the person that I don't want to be than about the person that I do want to be.
  89. Even though I am 25, I have a lot of growing up to do.
  90. I love to bake, and I enjoy cooking.
  91. I want to see the world, but I hate the "getting there" part. Especially if it is in a car.
  92. If I could paint the world one color, I would choose orange.
  93. I would love to be able to learn a foreign language.
  94. I took spanish for a few years in high school.
  95. I suck at it.
  96. I am intensely afraid of scary movies, or paranormal television shows, or anything of the sort.
  97. Because I am prone to nightmares. Very prone.
  98. when I was little, I had a blue Smurf clock in my room, and when I was lying in bed hearing it tick, I though it was someone chopping the outside of our house with an axe.
  99. It took me a long time to figure out what it really was.
  100. I am still terrified of staying home alone.
