Owen's First Birthday Party

These are pictures of guests, including cousin Jaycee, new baby cousin Cameron, and "big boy" cousins Chance, TyTy and Korbyn sporting their Ninja Turtle masks.

The hamburgers and hotdogs were the cupcake toppers for the party. I made them out of cookies and candy so they would be entirely edible, to fit our grilling theme.

Owen is munching on lunch - a grilled weiner, Aunt Jean's potatoes, and carrots, which he did not actually eat, but did hide under the tray. I found them later.

My baby eating his first cupcake! At first he kept shaking his head "no" at the cupcake, and I didn't think he was going to eat it... but then he ate three.

For a child who hasn't ever opened gifts before, he did a great job. He got stuck on one of the cards, though, that featured a dog with googly eyes. He kept waving the card around and saying "DAH! DAH!" which is Owen-speak for dog.

And here is Aunt Charla trimming up Owen's hair during his very first haircut. He didn't mind sitting on my lap if he could look at his new fire engine. And now his hair lays down nice and pretty.
