Boats & Öland Bridge

Öland Bridge (Ölandsbron), which can be seen in the distance on this photograph, is one of Europes longest bridges. It was built between 1967 - 1972, as serves as a road bridge between Kalmar and Öland (Sweden's 2nd largest island). It is constructed of concrete and is 6070metres in length, 13metres wide and 42metres high in the middle. The island itself has over 400 windmills and 34 churches, so is certainly worth visiting.
