The current fire station building at Kalmar is around 100 years old. I'd expect the fire engines to be a little more up to date though perhaps. Located right close to the water, filling up shouldn't be too much of a problem. The east wing of Kalmar Castle was ravaged by fire in 1642, I expect a fire station would have been useful then.
