Famous for five minutes - if that
Our TV appearances!

Tomas Ledin, Fadder Galan 1st April 2002. Photo by Sean Creech (c) 2002. April 1st 2002 was the first time we appeared on TV together....for Fader Galan 2002...OK so we were in the audience, selected due to K's charity connections...This was a great event broadcast live on Swedish TV from a dodgy looking studio in Stockholm. Some big names were there including Swedens number one band Kent plus Carola, Markoolio, Tomas Ledin(pictured to the left), Peter Jöback, Mendez, Andreas Johnson, and many others.

August 16th 2002 we returned to a different studio in Stockholm to see the recording of a new Swedish chat show (pratshow in swedish) called Hannah. Drag queens pose for a photograph after the recording of Hannah. Photo by Sean Creech (c) 2002We were part of a very small audience who were all thrilled to watch 3 male drag queens reveal all to family and friends. The show is very similar to the all popular American shows Ricki Lake and Jerry Springer, but somewhat toned down and with a lot less fighting, so basically all the fun has been taken out. This is surprising considering it's a Swedish show, and personally I expected to see a lot more! We were all given a slip of paper to say whether we'd like to return as part of the audience, or perhaps a future guest...no chance. The show was broadcast on 19th September 2002, on TV3. There were many shots of K, and her boots, but not so many of Seany. Good.

September 19th 2002 This recording was in the Channel 4 studios in Stockholm, and was for the political The Parlamentet studio set. Photo by Sean Creech (c) 2002comedy panel show called Parlamentet . This is a look back over the recent news with 4 famous guests who compete to be the funniest. Each of us were given a remote control style voting handset, in which to voice our opinions of the level of humour of each team. Before the recording we were tested for our clapping, cheering and laughing ability, which all seemed a bit fake, but got everyone in the mood. I can imagine the show is equally as fun as "Have I Got News for you" in England, unfortanately I was unable to understand much of the humour due to it being in Swedish, however judging by everyone elses laughter, it was funny. Hehe. The show was broadcast on September 22nd, but we weren't seen on screen hardly at all.

September 24th 2002 The most popular big money game show around the World must be Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Karolina went along with some friends and family to this recording, to be screened the following day. Took some time to find this strange situated studio, and saw that more people had the same problem. Once we had found it, we stood in this big white room and refreshed ourselves The 'Who wants to be a Millionaire' studio set. Photo by Karolina Karlsson (c) 2002with cider from papercups for half an hour until they let us out to the studio, which was tinier than you would think when you see it on tv. There we had to sit and watch a studioman clean the glass floor for ages. We weren´t even allowed to whisper during recording, since so much money was at stake but it didn't stop people. Not very interesting since they had computer problems, and there were many retakes. Once none of the competiters was right on a question, which made it difficult, and also a woman once thought she won when she didn´t. Both things were very embarrasing, but also amusing. No photos were allowed, but K managed to grab this quick snap before the recording began!
