Green is the color of nature and clean air. Green reminds us of the silence in the woods. It is the color which brings about a sense of security. A Great artist, Gogh used both yellow and blue in his canvas to express anger, fear or complex/confused feelings while Cezanne used various shades of green in his work . It is well known that Gogh suffered from massive depression in his lifetime and so we see a lot of wild colors in his work. In contrast we can assume that Cezanne was more calm and relaxed and in a balanced or controlled state when he was drawing.
