How Does it Work?

Explanation:
"Music that Drives" is a web site that teaches students how to write their own music using loop software.  The student does not need to know how to play any instrument and no actual recording is necessary.  The teacher gives the student a set of "song templates."  A song template is an acid DJ file of short music loops that can go well together if used tastefully.  The loops repeat themselves wherever they are drawn into the song.  It is the students' job to draw the loops in such a way that they fit together nicely and cause the song to move, and change, and come alive.

Requirements:
  • Access to a computer with Acid DJ 3.0 installed.
  • Adam Carson's file with various song templates.
  • CD Burner.
  • CD burning software.

This software is being phased out and replaced with Acid music 4.0 but there may still be some available.  If not, Acid Music 4.0 is very adequate.
