Day 1 - de-badge'in and filling in the bonnet gaps
This is pretty easy but if you don't know how to crud AT all then get someone you know who does, but don't go to anywhere you have to pay for it to be done it's not worth it. (I hadn't got a clue how to crud, I just got me dad to show me and I did it myself. I will explain how to later). (When I say crud I mean filler if you didn't know).
Put about half a cup of crud on somin' suitable and mix in a little bit of hardener (Bout half a tea spoon full) and mix together well, then crud in the gap. You might that when you crud the gap the crud has a little gap rather than budging out more, in this case just chuck a big lump on it and don't smooth it in too much. (Unfortunately I decided to make a web site about my car progress after I cruded it so I can't show you any pictures of how it was before I sanded it.)
When the crud is finally dry probably in a few hours, sand it flat with coarse sand paper wrapped around something very flat, and then use fine sand paper (wet and dry) until it just feels like the bonnet and no lumps or un-evenness in it.
Then in the end it should look something like this...
Take note again I'm a total amateur and only 16 ok, before you say wat a crap job it is. (At least it's smooth ok).
To take the badges off and plastic molding on the side of the car you need fishin wire, a blow torch (or hair dryer if you wanna take ages), something plastic which is really solid. Then to get the badges off you just saw through rubber with the fishin wire and t get the side moldin off you gotta saw a little bit till you can pull it all off with your hands. Once you done all that you'll be stuck with rubber glue stuff. To get that off you have to heat it up carefully with a blow torch and then scrap it off with something plastic, but carefully. If your still left with just glue it should either wash off or you'll have to soak it in petrol. (petrol doesn't damage paint, thinner's on the other hand does)
