To live is your second option...

A journey to decadence turns into a spiral to hell...

4000 years ago, there was a book written called the "Memryo", a chronicle that detailed an ancient spiritual utopian era. An era where every person and every race were integrated into the perfect society. An era ruled by an almighty god, Injo. With their god's will dispatched through a tribunal of 21 men, they have created a megalopolis of peace and prosperity. That is...until a mysterious traveler entered their midsts...

The traveler claimed to be Injo's emissary sent to replace the Tribunal. Fearing their fall from power, the Tribunal had the traveler assassinated and buried in the ocean. Enraged, Injo rained blood and fire upon his people for 30 days. After the storm, Injo resurrected the traveler and bestowed upon him his immense power and orders to punish the people for their betrayal. The traveler destroyed entire cities with a whisper. The people were scattered around the world seeking refuge from Injo's wrath. But there was one person that both Injo and the traveler took pity upon...

They found a young girl in the mountains who was blessed with the unusual ability to heal the wounds that Injo inflicted upon the earth. To gain her favor, Injo granted her his incredible magickal powers in return for her secret. But looking at the suffering he caused, she used her new powers to undo the damage he created. Seething, Injo sent the traveler to kill her. A massive battle ensued, and the skirmish resulted in a draw. The fighting drained Injo's powers completely, leaving the traveler defenseless. Seeing that Injo's powers were permanently infused in the little girl, Injo had little chance of killing her without destroying himself. The girl gathers the last of her own energy, and seals the traveler body and soul in stasis. She keeps him in suspended animation in the sky above the fallen megalopolis. Then she crumbles to the ground and breathes her last. The few remaining people of the fallen Utopia bury her body in the mountains of Kip, her birthplace. Injo had lost the battle, and his power was tapped. He planned a contingency that would take millenia to implement. He would resurrect the traveler to finish his genocidal mission and begin the repopulation of the earth. But Injo was now afraid of the girl, even in her death. He feared the power that could potentially end his reign. He would forever remember the name of the common girl that brought him down. Her name was Momento...

4000 years later, the world is tamed and populated. Civilization has once again gotten a foothold. Instead of one government over all, the world is ruled by 4 kingdoms, one for each hemisphere of the earth. One hemisphere was in charge of agriculture and industry. It was called Fiero. This was an industrial hemisphere that turned raw materials into manufactured goods and distributed them all around the world. It was the most laborious section of the 4, and it was ruled by a commune of industry leaders and farmers. Another hemisphere was devoted to technology which was called Sypho, a city built by a race of ferocious yet civilized feline race. Weapons of extreme power and innovations designed to aid modern society were developed there. They heavily depend on the industrial hemisphere for materials to continue their research. It is ruled by a military regime, and their people are one of the most educated and resourceful in the world. The third hemisphere was in charge of spirituality, or what little people had. It was called Magis. This community still worshipped Injo, waiting for the day when his contingency would unfold. They were a secluded society, and very harsh to outsiders. They thought they would be spared of Injo's wrath when the traveler returned. They were ruled by the descendants of the original tribunal that ruled 4000 years ago. The last one was the leisure hemisphere called Vici. People came here to escape from the world. The richest and most prosperous aristocrats resided here. The hemisphere was the most densely populated part of the world. Filled with lavish casinos, luxurious hotels, huge amusement parks, regulated brothels, and amazing trading cities. It was like living in a dream for all who visited the hemisphere. It was ruled by a monarchy: a queen and a prince. The industrial hemisphere is where this story will begin...

The story revolves around a young elfin woman named Lilian Ivy, the infant princess of a kingdom now destroyed and replaced by the Vici Kingdom. Being the last of her race, she secludes herself in a town called Bange, which specializes in water purification and farming, and spends her time being a jewel trader. There is an annual event held in Vici in the city of Expo, the capital and crown jewel of Vici, where the biggest trading bazzar on the earth is held. She has never missed one, and she packs her possessions for the pilgrimage there. Little does she know is that she stumbles upon an epic war in it's birth. The Queen of Vici has been assassinated, and the young prince, untrained and thrust into the war room, contemplates why his mother was killed. Since he knows of the longstanding feud between his kingdom and Magis, he sends spies to investigate. One of the tribunal members recieves a vision from Injo about the plot and kills the spies. The prince of Vici is angered, but he is afraid to do anything because of his inexperience. He inlists the help of the kingdom of Sypho to train and prepare against a feared onslaught by Magis. Magis counters by spreading their armies towards Fiero and annexing the industries to stop the export of goods to reach Sypho, trying to starve them of options. Lilian becomes worried, since she has to travel through all 4 kingdoms to reach Expo. She enlists the help of her childhood friend and sailor, Gio, in the city of Crate, a shipyard and export city in Fiero. Buying as many weapons and supplies she can afford, she makes her journey towards the famed trade city and hopes to survive...but there is one more problem...

Injo's contingency has begun. The traveler has awoken and descended to terra firma. He regains his former powers and begins roaming the world, finishing the job Momento halted. Eradicating cities into piles of fire, blood and ash, his murderous rampage won't stop for anything and anyone, even for Magis. Armies were slaughtered systematically, and the threads of chaos were spun. None of the kingdoms were prepared for the contingency, and they blamed the others for the genocide. A war was inevitable. Lilian and Gio were in imminent danger. They desperately asked nomads and traveling magicians to join their party to prolong their survival long enough to get to Expo. In Lilian's travels, she discovers powers of raising the dead and healing. Injo deduced that she could be a descendant of Momento, which means there could be more like Lilian. Injo orders the traveler to find her and kill her before she learns anything of the contingency. With a war threatining to end her journey and the traveler breathing down her neck, she is forced to learn every part of her origins in a heartbeat so she would have some chance of surviving. But she didn't start her journey with the hopes of stopping apocalypse. She will have to learn what she doesn't understand to stop a threat she has never heard of. To know herself threatens Injo, and he will stop at nothing to kill her...but Injo has a secret...a secret that could destroy Injo forever, and leave a world free from his bondage. If she can find that secret, maybe the war and the traveler will cease to exist...or is there one more player in the fold?

These are the characters that are in the story...

Momento: A girl born into an uncivilized society in the Ancient Age; her parents died of disease and she was left to her own devices. She exhibited incredible restraint, dignity and manners growing up, something unheard of in her mountain village. Having no friends or family, she spent her time reading the many texts she was able to sucessfully steal from the mages in the megalopolis. This is how she learned of the existance of Injo and his power. She disagreed with most of the philosophy surrounding Injo's motives and resolve, instead viewing him as a weak deity grasping for all the power he thinks he deserves. During her teenage years, she underwent a painful metamorphosis that lasted for 3 years. She knew nothing about the change she was going through, but all she knew was that she was developing much more than normal. So much more that the metamorphosis not only affected her physically, but psychically and magickally. No one has ever been through a change as radical as she has. After the three years passed, she gathered her belongings and made a journey to the megalopolis in hopes to make a life for herself, and to discover who Injo really was. But it wasn't sucessful. All the people rejected her notions and shunned her. As she moved out, she met an injured homeless man. She leaned to examine him, and when she touched him, a blinding flash overtook both of them. When they regained their senses, the homeless man was healed. She touched him again, and nothing happened. She had no idea what happened, or what she had did. She went back home and tried the same thing with an ailing woman. The same thing happened. The villagers ran scared into their homes, fearing the worst. But when they saw the frail woman standing and breathing clear, they surrounded Momento and praised her. They knew she healed her. Momento dug through her belongings for her parents' books and found one that could explain what was happening to her. It was a journal called Memryo. The book detailed a sentient benevolent power who was the embodiment of purity and life. One bloodline was blessed with this power so that life would be self sufficient. Without the power, all life would have destroyed itself. The journal seems to have been written by 5 generations before her. The first generation, however, wrote in a language that she has never seen before. Was it written by the power itself? The one thing she did understand was that her powers were sentient. They actively sought out injury and pain and eradicated it. It was a weapon against life's self-destruction. In time, she would learn how to control it and be one with the sentient power. Injo knew of this power, but he could never control it. The last time he tried to touch the power, he almost was obliterated. Something was wrong with Injo. The power wanted nothing to do with him, the god who watched over the Earth. Injo kept an eye on it, but the power dropped out of his sight. Now that it has reappeared in the girl, Injo would have a chance to find out how he can control the power, and eventually assimilate it. The girl was now a target...

Lilian Ivy: A young elfin girl who lives as a jewel trader in the city of Bange. She is considerably wealthy and very seclusive. She had delusional sczhitophrentic episodes when she was a child, and she was tortured and beated in foolish belief that that would stop her rantings. One day, the voices in her mind suddenly stopped, and she began to live a seemingly normal life...until she discovers who she really is...

Gio: A young sailor who has explored every corner of the world, he has been Lilian's friend since she was exiled to Bange. A fearless man who embraces adventure, he enthusiastically agress to join Lilian on her journey to either prosperity or death...

Keiser: A pirate since he took over as the captain of his father's hydroship, the Van Ellis, his many run-ins with Gio made them mortal enemies, so it had to be destiny when he decided to join Lilian's cause and join forces with Gio. Keiser's ship was stolen by the Traveler, and he's determined to kill the Traveler, not knowing the immense power he wields. Yet, his true intentions are still unknown. Rumors are that he wants to raid the shrines in the kingdom of Magis. Gold, silver, platinium and precious stones are embedded in all of the walls, ceilings, floors and treasures of the shrines. Still, his nature seems to depict something much more malevolent. Only time will tell...
