*********** Lourne Kills Raptor! *********** R>say target orc :) You say 'target orc :)' R> Arogarn narrates, 'need to heal' R>n Resevil nods solemnly. R>You cannot go that way. R>w n Old Forest Road Exits are: E W To the north and south, the trees crowd the road in a towering wall of darkness, their limbs grab at travellers as they pass by. They form a sort of tunnel through the forest in which one is forced to keep to the road. There appears to be a turn in the road to the east. Resevil is entering from the east, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the east. R>You cannot go that way. R> Arogarn narrates, 'you got regen?' e R>e Bend in the Old Forest Road Exits are: S W The Old Forest Road bends to the south and to the west here. The thick forest prevents travel to the east while movement to the north is hampered by thick brush. Few appear to travel this road anymore, as stones and various weeds push their way through the hard-packed ground. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. R>You cannot go that way. R>s e e e Bend in the Old Forest Road Exits are: N E Turning to the north and west, the Old Forest Road continues its way through the mysterious Mirkwood Forest. The woods are extremely thick here and prevent travel off the road, guiding one in only one direction. The trees seem to leer at passerbys, a sense of malignant intelligence surrounding them. Resevil is entering from the north, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the north. e R>Old Forest Road Exits are: E W Tall stands of black grass grow in thick clumps in the road, a testimony to its absence of travellers these days. The dark boughs overhead form a sort of canopy blocking sunlight from striking the ground during the day. The road continues to the east and west. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. e R>Bending Old Forest Road Exits are: N E W The venerable road bends from the west to the north here, winding its way slowly through the enormity of Mirkwood Forest. The road is slightly overgrown here, the forest ever-encroaching onto the smooth cobbles. The canopy overhead shelters the road from the harsh sun, and casts a green tainted shadow over the grey rock. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. R>Track Into Forest Exits are: S W The narrow track that winds its way through the dark forest has been beaten down from some occasional use from large feet. Tracks are occasionally visible in the rich soil below of a huge humanoid, heading in both directions along the trail. It is obvious that it is used reasonably frequently, as the forest would quicly reclaim such a path otherwise. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. A mule enters from the east. e R>Old Forest Road Exits are: E S Black trees stretch towards the canopy above, trunks that are straight as arrows reach the sky for survival. Below the dense canopy, the road passes to the east and south on its relentless haul through the forest of Mirkwood. A trail departs the road to the south, winding deeper into the black forest. Resevil is entering from the south, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the south. e R>e Selenia chats, 'no' Old Forest Road Exits are: N E W Cutting its way through the dense forest of Mirkwood, the Old Forest Road continues here to the east and west. The ground falls away to the south, though the thick undergrowth and dense trees in that direction preclude any movement down the slope. Light is blocked out by a dense canopy above, which stills the air. Muffled sounds of the forest cross the roads, occasional birdsongs, and the howling, a persistent howling. Probably of wolves. Surely, it must be wolves.e Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. R>Old Forest Road Exits are: E W The Forest is impenetrable to the north and south of here, dense undergrowth and thick trees stopping any chance to leave the narrow path. The ground slopes away to the south, as the land starts to become hillier as one travels towards the east. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. R>Old Forest Road Exits are: N E S W The road is dimpled and potted with the feet of many travellers, and shows the lack of maintenance allowed for this ancient road in these times. The forest bears in on the rough surface, seeking to reclaim the land once again to be its own. Bushes and grasses marvel at the open space and seek to grow through the many cracks in the surface. The forest which closes in above, shutting out the light, acts in this way to save the road, choking young plants from the light they need to the rive here. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. R>e e Old Forest Road Exits are: N E S W The road continues its path through Mirkwood, making the dense forest that looms on either side and blots out the sky above somewhat traversable. The builders of this road must have been mighty creatures indeed, forging such a path through this hostile widerness. No doubt it evolved from a rough track through the ages to this marvellous feat. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. R>Old Forest Road Exits are: N E S W The forest closes in on all sides, growing gloomier to the east. Rustling branches in overhanging limbs gives the impression something is about to drop down from the trees. The ancient trees watch the road silently as they maintain the vigil they have kept for centuries. A black wolf looks at you and begins to growl. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. k R>Old Forest Road Exits are: N E S W The road continues east and west through the gloom of Mirkwood. The trees cast titanic shadows over the road, shrouding the forest floor in darkness. Birds whistle and chirp in an almost manic fashion below the tree canopy while black squirrels flit from branch to branch before vanishing into the gloom. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. R>Dark Forest Road Exits are: N E S W The trees grow together here to shroud the road in darkness. Colder and more sinister here, it seems as if the birds and squirrels have moved on. A faint animal trail leads between two towering trunks to the north. The stillness of the air hangs heavy here. A black squirrel can barely be seen on a tree here. Resevil is entering from the west, riding on a mule. A mule enters from the west. k R>k They aren't here. R>They aren't here. R>They aren't here.
