A MOMENTARY YES
What I hear and what you say
may not always be the same:
Sometimes I hear in your voice
more than a momentary yes.
It was like that last night
as I asked for Saturday,
then Friday night and suggested
an evening at home Thursday.
And when you said yes to it all
I felt your hand slipping into mine.
VALENTINE FAIRY
She’s been silent until now,
but now that it’s cold and windy
the little valentine fairy chimes
outside in the cold.
