I STILL LOVE YOU

I had a thought today and thought of you.
I thought of all the places we have been and all we have done.
I thought of how much you mean to me, how greatly I have changed;
about how much better off the world is because of you, the wonderful influence you have over everyone and me, the gentle power you wield, how well you wear kindness, spirituality and strength.
I thought of how little I have to offer except my perpetual good will and love.
I thought of the hundreds of poems I have written you: of The Lady At The End Of the Bar, Letter To A Friend, She Had Been Loved Before, of My Prettiest Words Shattering Upon Your Face So Terribly Do They Fail You, of A Pretty Fairy Standing On A White Sandy Shore. I thought of these and so many more you inspired.
I thought of how some times words come easily and these other times too.
I thought I was afraid to tell you I still love you. I am not. I do.
