My track by track reveiw

Old man wise:

I like this song , but is not my favorite. It would not have been my choice for the first single. I like the music of the song, and the chourus is very catchy and melodic with heavy guitar riffs and a groovy bass line. My least favorite thing about this tune is the vocals durring the verses. Corabi just aint my cup of tea on this one-though his vocals during the chorus are o.k. Also, I don't like the lyrics on this one- I don't follow them-I don't get it!

Around Again:"

A very bass and drums song. This tune is probably my least favorite of the entire CD. Corabi's vocals improved on this one compared to Old Man Wise. The sound of this one is not to my taste, though the lyrics on this one are good- basically saying that things will come back to haunt you, when you do rude/bad things.

Pain behind your eyes:

I like this one- it is one of the better tunes on the cd.Very catchy music, catchy chourus. Vocals are good. Kulick is soundin' good. The drums are tight. The bass is "bangin'". The lyrics on this one are great- about being in a relationship, and knowing the person so well you can see when they hurt even though noone else can tell, and how it effects you.

Love:

One of my favorites. This one rocks. I like the lyrics.Corabi sounds good and Kulick is "rockin'" (some cool licks and riffs). All around good tune.

Heavy D:

Another one of my faves. Vocals are good. Lyrics are good. Heavy riffs. This one has a Carnival of Souls sound at times. Kulick does an awesome guitar solo. The chorus is where I hear Carnival of Souls. Why? I dont know, but I do.

Let it flow:

A good song- everything sounds good- but,the melody is not very catchy to me. Not one of their best.

Empty Soul:

Good tune-basically about how some can be full in thier wallet but empty in their soul.Good sound. A keeper.

October Morning Wind

One of my faves. A very good acoustic sound. Lyrics, vocals, guitars, bass and drums are all there. A very fall season type feeling comes over you when listen to this one.

Get off my cloud By far my favorite Union song yet. This is the best song on the cd. Vocals sound great, guitars are heavy hittin' ,drums are tight, the bass is there. I love the chourus. The lyrics are killer: "Get off my cloud, my life's just fine without you, Get off my cloud, your world is on the ground, you blow me away, how you can be so stupid, there's no room up here anyway, got no doubts about you and I'll be fine without you."Awesome!! This song has feeling to it. A good tune, the best tune on the CD.

Tangerine

A good song- a good vibe to it. Kulick does a killer solo in this one. About tryin' to find that thing that makes ya happy.

Robins Song

This is the next great song of the album- even though its an acoustic ballad. Awesome acoustic work by Bruce. This song's melody is great, vocals are great ,heart felt for sure, lyrics are great:"Is there something I could say to make you change your mind, never thought I would have to write this song (I was wrong), when I see you on the streets I see it in your eyes your love is gone, my love was wrong." --- "I hope you find the things you said you need, I've been dyin' here 'cause its not me"----Lots of feeling in this one, I think this is about a real life break up between John and his former girl freind Robin.

This is a Great, great CD. It is much better than I could have ever wanted in a debut album from these guys, much better than I expected. All of the songs are great. There are only about 2 I personally just don't care for. Most I like. All in all, a great CD. ----------------------------------------------------- --------
