Finding a Lost Pet

Make sure your pet (cats too!) wears an identification collar. You can also ask a veterinarian about installing a microchip; a small identifying implant injected into the muscle under the base of the neck. It is safe and painless, and a huge help to locating owners once the pet is found. It costs a total of about $30.00 for the procedure and registration with the American Kennel Club, which keeps the records (and has sucessfully identified 100% of lost animals who had a chip!).
