Alanna: The First Adventure
Alanna, a girl has always dreamed to be a page, and become a knight. So when her father sends her and her twin brother Thom, to different places, she exchanges Thom’s place as a page in the palace and disguised as a boy, becomes Alan. She makes new friends, like Jonathan, the heir of the throne of Tortall and starts making enemies. She starts her first adventure as a page, and endures the hardships of being a girl. She wants to prove that she is as good as any boy, even though she is a thin scrawny girl disguised as a boy.
In the Hand of the Goddess
Alanna has just become a squire, and is serving prince jonathan. While doing so, she uncovers a plot to overthrow the royal family, but no one will believe her. She sets forth by herself to overthrow this great menace in the second book in tomara pierces Song of the Lioness quartet.
The Woman Who Rides Like a Man
Alanna has just become a knight and revealed to all her true gender in a battle with her biggest enemy. She travels far from the palace to the desert. During her time as shaman of the Bloody Hawk tribe, she learns a lot about herself and her magic.

Things turn from bad to worse when Duke Roger, her enemy, gets raised from the dead. Alanna now has to test her ability of being a real knight, to prove to others that she is a true woman knight who can fend for herself, in war or even, in love.
