They ran together through the rain
One a man with blue gray eyes
One a woman with brown eyes
They laughed together until they cried
But one day it all fell down
And walls rose from once was love
They couldn't stop fighting
In time they parted
They just couldn't be together
He loves her still, in a tiny piece of his heart
She, too, loves him, but only in the back of her mind
They move on to someone new
They never asked why it was over it was just that (over)
She was never gentle
She was a storm
He wasn't an angel either
He had his demons
Who got everything he wanted from her (in his mind only in his mind)
H
e said he wasn't enchanted (but we all know he was)
And now he turns away from her
To go back to his new life
She, the same as he,
With her Stormy ways
And he with all of his demons
They will go home now
And forget the past
All has been forgiven
They've let go (but they have not forgotten)
As it begins to rain again
They ran together, as friends now (not lovers)
The rain has healed their sorrow
And the rain falls down
A Mac friend of mine wrote this poem about Stevie and Lindsey. When she sent it to me, I virtually begged her to put it on the site. Of the poem, Lacey has this to say:
This poem is for Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. I wish to prove to you all the fact that they are FRIENDS now. If you do NOT support one how can you truly call yourself a fan of the other?
So thank you, Lace, for letting me put the poem here! If anyone else has Mac poetry that they want on the site, just e-mail me, and I'll probably put it on.
