Hanson Concert - 16/06/98 - WEMBLEY ARENA

Ok well on the Tuesday I was REALLY excited... I came to school all hyper, wearing my hanson necklace with pride!! I went to the concert with my friend Alex ((who is a MAD bsb fan)) and my sister. By the end of the day I was in a really BIG panic, cos I wanted everything done, and everything perfect. I was going to a hanson concert!! So I got dressed in all my hanson gear, carried my banner, and ran outta the door... it was really bad, cos I was all shaky... I’ve never seen myself in such a state!! Neways, then my mum dropped us off at the train station, and that train journey has GOT to be the longest train journey I have ever been on!!! It usually only takes like 15 mins, but it lasted a whole life time!!! Agghhhhh, so when we got to WEMBELY PARK station there were all these merchandise people selling all this hanson stuff... I bought a whistle, and this HUGE flag type thing. Then being the crazy person my friend alex is, she went up to the security and told them that she had won a comp to meet the guys backstage, and they believed her, and they told us where to wait. There were millions of fans there waiting outside... Neways, so we got in the HUGE line and we got in at about 6:30pm. We went to where the security people told us to wait for backstage passes, and this woman believed us and was about to get someone to escort us in... but she disappeared and this bloke came out and told us to bugger off, cos he didn’t believe us... we told him about the woman going in, but he said just ignored us, so we waited and waited for this woman, then we heard loadsa screaming so we decided to stuff it - I woz gonna see HANSON! LIVE!

We got taken to our seats, which were good… during the concert we kept going forward cos there were some spare seats in front of us. We were on Taylor’s side... Yay!! We had a perfect view of Tay!! The concert didn’t start till like an hour, and the support group came on... they were ok. They were called "Hillman Minx" I brought my dictator to the concert, so I have EVERYTHING on tape... neways, finally the crowd went wild, and HANSON were on!!! It was really amazing!!! They looked really good, and they kicked off the concert.

I couldn’t believe when Ike sang his solo on the piano, it was REALLY awesome. Some other things that they did: - Tay had a go on Zac’s drums - They had like 3 sets - Ike took out his IKE CAM and Zac had a camera too -- so did their dad. - Ike had his hair up, and the others had it down - Tay had a black t-shirt on!!! - Tay waved at us! - Also most of my photo’s are of Tay ((all 118 of them!!)) and he kept looking at our camera ((it has this like mega zoom thing -- and blinding flash)) and he kept looking at us and smiling!!! AWWWW!! - Zac caught my eye about 5 times -- I had this tourch, while all the other people had glow thingys, mine was a torch, and I kept shining it on me and my banner!! -- he laughed!! - Zac poured water on the people on the front row - They did a little acoustic of "Weird" (("Sittin on the side waiting for a sign hoping that my luck will change oooo, reaching out a hand that will understand, someone who feels the same, when you live in a cookie cutter world, so you don’t fit in and you don’t stand out -- weird")) right at the end!! - Tay encouraged the crowd to stand on the seats, even though it wasn’t allowed!! ((naughty boy!!)) - You could hear them rehearsing outside the arena when we were waiting outside. - Tay goes: "you guys are all screaming!!" - Zac goes: "I’m gonna do what you guys do" -- and he waved his drumsticks around ((they glowed)) -- we had loadsa glowing things... and we kept swinging them around... awwww... - There were no concert programs (blub) - They did an encore "Look at you" and "Summertime blues" and the weird acoustic... <3ly! - it was REALLY REALLY loud... geez, my ears are still ringing!! - They kept saying "Thank you guys" - Tay was on the right ((as usual)) and Zac was at the back, and Ike was on the left. - Tay has had his hair cut ((nothing outrageous -- just a trim!!)) - They all thought we were mad!! - They all laughed at the crowd!! And stressed that we were really awesome!! - They went off stage 3 times -- when the set was changing. - Ikes solo, was SO awesome!!!!!!! - When he sung it everyone was screaming his name... I really loved it... - Hanson was in lights on this banner inside the arena - The audience wasn’t just screaming little girls, but there were loadsa adults there, all bopping along!! - I will come to you and weird were faster. - Speechless was extended, and turned out REALLY cool!! - "C’mon!!" -- Taylor! - They played a song that has NEVER been recorded ((until I got it on MY tape!! ha)) -- it’s SO cool... really rock n roll!! - Zac goes "How you guys doing?" - The crowd sang along to every song!!! They were impressed... - Zac kept making funny noises, and saying the song titles in a funny accent!!

Well if you want me to bore you with all the rest of the gory de-tails, then TELL ME!!! Cos I will NOT stop babbling!!! ((ask anyone at school... they will tell you)) I lost my voice this morning... it was really funny!! I got it back though.. but I still have this constant ring in my ears and it’s really annoying!! aghhhh!!! Neways, so I was really upset after the concert ended, I ran up to the stage and I chucked this poster that I wrote on for them... little messages... then we went outside... and I just couldn’t hear nething... neways, so then I bought some merchandise.. I got a t-shirt (which was really huge... so I slept in it... that night) 2 posters, and a flag and a whistle... I have to say, it was probably THE BEST day of my life!!! I will NEVER EVER forget it!!! I hope my photo’s come out!! he he!! Well sorry for babbling, but I figured that you’d all wanna know what happened!!! I really have to sort out my room, and stick my posters up... and I have to go bed early, cos I didn’t go till like 2:00am, and I was SO tired today.. ooops.. I stayed up just thinking of the concert... and listening to it over and over... re-living the moment!!!

I am SO proud to be a Hanson Fan!!! All those who are going to a hanson concert this year: HAVE FUN -- Cos it is REALLY REALLY REALLY awesome!! You’ll love it!! -- I am really depressed now that it is over... but I can’t wait to see em again next year hopefully!!

I can’t stress how good it was... I guess you just had to be there... it was SO AWESOME!!! Hanson can’t wait to be back, so I can’t wait till they tour again, and next time WE WILL MEET THEM!!!.
