1. His eyes. They are so beautiful he can seal me away in the darkness of his
black eye anyday. *wai!*
2. His hair! I can just imagine L'Oreal offering him a lifetime endorsement deal
some time soon. ^.~
3. His weapon. Can anybody say light sabre?
4. His voice. It is so low and mellifluous that I start getting all misty-eyed
whenever I hear him speak.
5. He is just so laid back even when he's fighting.
6. Darkness has very nice legs. ^.^
7. That thing he does everytime he manifests his true powers.
8. His name. He is the only non-human entity I know who can make a noun sound so
captivating.
9. His cape. There's just something very appealing about a guy who wears a long
black cape and tights.
10. Because Darkness is Darkness. Talk about circular logic.
"Seriously though, it's almost impossible to pin Darkness down with words. An
enigma, he is also a series of contradictions. For one thing, he looks human but
remains an outsider to the human world. Though unassuming in terms of
appearance, he can also be a very dangerous opponent at the same time. Untouched
by human emotions, he sees but is at the same time is blind to the human spirit.
Just as he appears and disappears whenever and wherever he wants to, Darkness is
an entity who resists definition."
"Although he remains in the background observing the human world, he is at the
same time the being who represents the Fear of Death. It is here that Darkness
plays one of the most important roles in 'Shadow Skill.' To earn the title of
true Sevaar and the fang of the beast, one must learn to confront and conquer
the fear nesting in one's mind. This is what he tries to teach Gau. It may
appear cold and calculated the way he nearly kills the boy in order to impart
this lesson to him, but nonetheless, there is a curious poetic resonace that
lingers even after the battle is over. It is ironic that for someone who cannot
die, Darkness is defeated by Dias, who passes away immediately after defeating
him. However, it is not an empty defeat because there is the sense that after
the fight, Darkness finally gains an understanding of the meaning of the human
spirit and the strength of the human soul, as shown to him by the selfless and
noble Dias Lag."
"If there's anything I'd like to say to Darkness, it would be this, "Losing my
heart to you is like losing my personality, but it doesn't matter, because I've
got you to care about."
QUOTES:
"I think I'll go to the Hall of Hades too. It looks like I'll have more fun
there."
Darkness- it surrounds many objects and it is pitch black. It will never create
light to shine on things. How come human beings fear the darkness so much? Some
people hypothesize that there is a fear of death in the darkness and that may be
the reason.
To Dias:
"I look like a human but I am not. I an the outsider to the human world. I have
life and at the same time I don't. I belong to a different existence from you.
Are you still willing to fight me?"
After his defeat:
"I am not a human being, yet you have defeated me. I will never forget the
strong mind that kept you going."
To Gau:
"There is only one thing that can allow you to overcome this fear and that is
your mind."
"The fang of the beast is the proof of its beauty. Return to your starting
point."
