~ i've updated my poetry section, moving some of the... less sophisticated... poems onto a new page... i call it the Poetry Graveyard, because it is where the older ones are put to rest...
~ i went on a poetry submissions streak last night... three or four hours of hard-core printing, licking, and folding... i think i have letters ready for 11 or 12 publications... perhaps i'll be accepted, perhaps i won't be... but at least i tried... i'll mail them out today...
~ i feel like an alcaholic: only poetry is my drug of choice... i need to go to a meeting... i haven't read in weeks... *laughs*

~ the Madison series is growing, inspired by a beautiful city and a wonderful man... i added a couple more poems early this morning: Laundromat Love which shows how special things may happen in ordinary places, and Langdon, a poem showing the city and my thoughts from the rooftop of the Langdon building where i lived during those four days.
~ also two more additions drawn from the Madison artery... Mother Fool's and Suicidal Insects. the creativity is finally flowing again, and i have the city and its people to thank for it... *smiling softly*
~ my search for a soulmate is not over, but i'm putting it on hold for a while. i've met a man who interests me, and i owe it to myself to see where it may lead. i know it's silly to be so captivated by a man i've only known for a few days, but there is something special about him. if nothing else, he can be my inspiration. if much more... *softly smiling*

~ i am back in Illinois now... i left for Madison, WI on Friday and came home on Wednesday... it is a wonderful town... full of incredible people... *softly smiling... winking at you* it has inspired one poem already, and i know that others are dancing in my mind ~ read Madison and the explanation under the poem for more details... ~

~ i just added Addiction, a poem that emerged from my struggle to break free of a heart which loves me no longer ~ and Soul Food, inspired by a challenge at BoP ~ and Rhonda, a portrait of an interesting person ~
~ i've updated my personal page ~
~ i've also done a bit more with the comment box idea... some of the poems were on backgrounds that suited their message but were difficult to read ~ i've moved the poem text into scrolling boxes so that it is more clearly presented... but the background remains ~ smiles ~

~ this is my "noon" ~ i've been sleeping to an odd schedule lately ~ i fell asleep at about 7:00 this morning... and woke at around 2:30 this afternoon ~ different, but it suits me ~ it will be hellish to change back to a *normal* schedule when college starts ~

~ most of my time here lately has been on exposure: the webring pages ~ my collection is growing ~

~ (not so) happy Independence Day ~ it marks a bit of independence for my personal life as well ~ things with J are very over... ~ it had been for some time now, really... ~ only i didn't want to believe it ~
~ i guess it is time for me to move on ~ though it is easier said than accomplished ~ i've written a poem plea to the world ~ SWF Seeks Soulmate ~ i guess if my soulmate is out there, he can find me now... ~ softly smiling ~

~ i did some work on the Poetry Index page and gave it a new design with interesting graphics and a streamlined look ~
~ i've added three new poems: Falling..., Reversible, and Dis Mem Ber Me ~ Falling... is a sweet, erotic work about rain and hearts ~ Reversible is based upon a moment of introspection and the conclusions i found ~ Dis mem ber Me is a different kind of love poem ~
~ i've also added another credit to my publication page ~ Reversible and Cloak of Night were accepted for publication in the August issue of Prism Galliard ~ it is quite an honor ~ smiling ~
