The shadows drew close, face to face,
With lips and fingers intertwined.
His strong hands traced her every curve.
His presence there conquered her mind.
Shadows kissed by candlelight
And soon their cores had mingled too.
Their gift branded each lover's heart
And sparked a hidden child anew.
And then the candle's flame died out.
The shadow figures lived no more.
The couple, wrapped in tired arms,
Had found what they'd been longing for.
