Music Lovers
MusicMakers have been in existance for over thirty years.
Composed of male and female seniors who volunteer their
time to bring the joy of music and the pleasure of comedy to many hundreds of adults both in senior facilities and to the general public.
The troupe performs throughout Rockland County under the auspices of both Meals On Wheels Of Rockland Inc., and Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
Our performers are members of
R.S.V.P. ---
Rockland Community College
Volunteers who put their unique talents to work
to make a difference in their community. Music Makers from across Rockland County crisscross the county transporting musical equipment, amplifiers etc., to
engage in either weekly rehearsals or for twice monthly
performances.
Again to reiterate, MM spread joy as they entertain audiences in a wide array of settings. Sites include nursing homes, senior centers, assisted living communities, local libraries, RSVP events, at MOW supported centers and are occasionally invited to perform at politician's sponsored events. A listing of sites appear further along on this page.
For your next party or event, let our Music Makers entertain you, your friends and audiences who crave hearing those songs that they find hard to locate on TV or radio these days. We offer musicians and singers from a pool of talent that our Rockland County has to offer. Those wonderful songs that once you knew and long to hear again can be yours to enjoy over the course of an hour's performance. With a little humor for good measure. We charge a modest fee for a talented pianist whose accompanist skills we cherish at both rehearsals and at performances. The sum of $175 is therefore our price. Other than requiring someone with unique skills the rest of our troupe are talented volunteers who give of their time of whom typically number twelve, are from around our county or border same. Contact information is available at the end of this page. Thank you.
