Maju
Maju are low grade creatures of magic. They are little more than gelatinous blobs of astral ectoplasm existing in the physical world. They never come to the physical plane on their own, but are summoned by Mazoku or human Sorcerers. Once the Maju's physical form is damaged sufficiently, it will lose it's anchor in the physical world and simply melt away back to the Astral Plane, leaving only trace ectoplasmic residue.
Alignment: None, only a basic animalistic instinct to start feeding off the spiritual essences of the living to sustain their existence.
Attributes: I.Q. 1d4, M.E. 1d4, P.S. 3d6+4, P.P. 1d6, P.E. 3d6+4, Spd. 2d4+2.
Size: Generally an oblongish 1.5m in diameter.
Weight: Approximately 400kg.
Hit Points: None
S.D.C.: 4d6
Horror Factor: 10
Combat: 4 Attacks per melee.
Damage: Maju can generally reform their bodies to attack with blunting force for 2d6+PS damage, however, this is rarely how they achieve what they desire. A Maju obtains sustenance by leaching off the spiritual essence of the living, and it does this by simply engulfing its victim into its body. Anyone caught within this gooey creature is generally helpess to stop it, taking 1 Spirit Point of damage per melee, unless they exceed the Maju's P.S. by 6, at which point it will take a full melee to escape from the ickyness.
Bonuses: +3 to strike, no parry possible, +3 to dodge (reforms it's body to evade), +3 to save vs. magic.
Resistances/Vulnerabilities: Takes no damage from blunting or piercing attacks (the goo simply yields), immune to slashing attacks under ten damage. Double damage from cold and heat. Immune to illusions and mind altering psionics (it sees in terms of spiritual energy, making it very hard to decieve).
