Welcome to my Web site!I was born in one of the most beautiful cities, Rize, in Turkey on September 26, 1969. I am 5 feet 10 inches (175cm) tall, 185lb (82 kg) with green eyes. I had spent first 19 years of my life in a small town (population around 6,000) called Iyidere that is 10 miles West of Rize on the Black Sea Coast. I went to Iyidere Merkez Ilkokulu (Elementary School) from 1975 to 1980 and then Iyidere Lisesi from 1980 to 1986 (Middle High School and High School, respectively). After high school, I went to Istanbul where two continents meet for my college education. I did my Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) at Forestry Engineering Department of University of Istanbul, in Bahcekoy-Istanbul, Turkey. After my BS Degree, I got a scholarship from Ministry of Education of Turkey to do my master and Ph.D. degrees in the United States. I came to United States on June 18, 1993. First I went to Indiana State University to improve my English. Six months after that, I started pursuing my master degree at Purdue University, Indiana. I graduated with an MS degree in the field of Quality Engineering and Furniture Engineering on December 18, 1995. I graduated from Purdue University with a Ph.D. Degree on April 18, 1999 in the Field of Industrial and Furniture Engineering.
