The Republic of Morac-Songhrati-Meads has a proud history of success in sporting endeavours. Although a small country in size and population, there lies a strong heart dedicated to sporting excellence. Prior to the invasion, hardly a day went by without a sporting event occurring somewhere on our archipelago. |
Cricket being played at Royal Southwark Cricket Club
Our British legacy ensures that cricket has become our national sport, our close ties with Australia has meant that Australian Rules football is very popular, the influx of Asian immigrants early this century has led to sports like soccer and sepak takraw become part of the sporting calendar. And I'm happy to announce that, as with any decent, intelligent society, golf is considered an irrelevant waste of time and is not played here, under pain of death.
