Some might wonder what Fairy lore is doing on a Halloween site?
Not all is good in faeryland, just as with all other things and places,
there is a dark side. So I decided to take you through a walk
in the dark side of faeryland and tell you about a few of it's residents.
Got your crucifix and salt ready?? ready? ;)
BLACK ANNIS THE BLUE-FACED HAG-
Black Annis is a highly dangerous faery
hag grabs children through open windows and takes them back to her lair
to devour them. When Black Annis is hungry, her howls can be heard
for miles....
THE FIDEAL-
The Fideal wanders through the
twilight looking for lovers. Her song is sad and seductive.
Her kiss is cold, tasting of earth. Her hands caress you, hold you,
pull you down and down into the chill waters. You would happily lie
with her forever, wrapped in her watery embrace-but she's gone.
She has returned to the dark lakeshore and you are forgotten.
The Fideal sings as she walks through the weeds, calling out to her
next lover...leaving you down in the water's cold depths, eyes unseeing,
weeds in your mouth.
REDCAP- Redcap is one of the most evil of the old Border Goblins.
He lives in old ruined towers and castles, particularly those with a
history of wickedness. He re-dyes his red cap in human blood.
THE NUCKELAVEE-
The Nuckelavee is surely the most awful of the Scottish sea faeries.
A monstrous horse with legs that are part flipper, a huge mouth and one
fiery red eye and, rising from it's back joined at it's waist, a hideous
torso with arms that nearly reach the ground, topped by a massive head
that rolls from side to side as though it's neck was too weak to hold
it up.
