The Day Of The Birth
That morning I waited for the nurses to come and get me ready to induce me but I was so scared as it meant Rhys was leaving my tummy, the nurses got me around 8-8.30am and then it took 5 goes to get the needle into my arm as if I wasnt upset enough that made it worse. My husband was with me and I wasnt allowed to eat in case I need an operation so all day the midwives were coming in and out asking anything yet but I had no sign of contractions and hadnt dilated at all. I guess my angel didnt want to leave his mummy either. So at around 6.pm that night they decided to do a c section and I was preped for it. I wanted so badly to be asleep while they took Rhys from me but as I had been throwing up it wasnt safe for me to be asleep. So I was taken into the artre and I said where is my husband but he was right there waiting for me. Ian (My Hubby) sat right next to me and talked to me (about what i dont know) as I was very aggatated and need lots of funny needles to calm me down. I remember seeing my hubby look around and I asked if they had taken him but Ian was unsure as he only looked out of the corner of his eyes he was to busy trying to keep me in 1 piece. After a few hours I was taken back to my room and Sally God bless her had come in and asked me if I would like to see him know, I will admit I was scared so I asked what he looked like she said he is beautiul but tiny, so I said yes, Sally then went and got Rhys and passed him to me god I cried he was so perfect in everyway he had such long fingers and already had one of tose bellies that fell to the side when you lay down he had the most kissable tiny lips and a perfect tounge Rhys wieghed a tiny 320grams. Sally had already taken his first photo for me and taken his feet and hand prints in clay and feet prints in purple paint. How I creid, I longed so badly just to see his eyes open for a minute just to hear 1 funny noise see 1 funny face to have him grab my finger just once but it never happened. Rhys was disscoloured due to his blood going off but he was perfect and was and is our sleeping baby. Later that night Gemma the chaplin lady came up and baptised Rhys for us so I held him and cried on him while she did the baptisim, Gemma gave me the whit hanky she used to bless him.
