The Funeral
We had TEARS IN HEAVEN PLAYED.
The Funeral was to be held at the chapple of Metropoliton funerals at Aspley Brisbane Queensland at 10.30am. I remember driving there and every song I heard had the word baby in it and when we turned the corner into the street I saw the hearse and I broke down. Ian Ryan and I were the first there and as we got to the chapple doors I looked and saw the tiny tiny coffin all in white and we had ordered baby white carnations and baby white roses with babies breath and that was sitting on his casket. We sat at the front right in front of him and we kissed the coffin and cried some more. The celebrant who did the service was amazing you could see it was more than just a job to her she had written the nicest things to say and said them all with feelinl and emotion. Ryan cries his little heart out he so dearly wanted his baby brother to be alive. We had only a few people there it was us and Fred and Norni 1 of my other brothers Bill who helped Ian out with the coffin and his wife Steph My good friends Dragon(lee) and mick Tanya Renata Kerri, Terri. They were all so supportive of all of us. Once we arrived at rhys' final resting place our son Ryan did us proud he helped daddy with the coffin from the hearse only for a few steps but he did it and it was his desire to. We went over to the place of resting and the celebraint read another poem and more as Rhys was being laid to rest they played another song but I dont remember it. Once laid to rest we all spainkled sand and rosse pettals over his grave. All I wanted to do was each in there and get him out I didnt want to leave ny son there alone in the dark it was wrong but my husband said the funeral people said it was best to leave quickly so we did.
