Mike King

My name is Mike King and I am a Senior Civil Engineering student at the University of Rhode Island. I am from Burrillville, Rhode Island which is in the North West corner of the state. I attended Burrillville High School where I was involved in the Math League and the Web Club which helped to administer the school department's web pages. I currently work at Odeh Engineers, Inc., a Structural Engineering firm in North Providence Rhode Island. I have worked there for nearly four years and have gradually moved up the ranks from job shadow, to unpaid intern, to paid intern and am now CADD Manager for about 20 engineering workstations. That job consists primarily of ensuring that each engineer's AutoCAD setup works properly, conforms to office standards, connects to all network plotting and file sharing resources, etc. I also do a great deal of custom development using Visual LISP, Visual Basic and AutoCAD VBA. I am the groups Planner and Manager, which consists of updating and enforcing the Gantt chart and keeping the group on schedule. I also created and maintain this web page. Finally, I am available to assist in any of the disciplines that may require an extra hand at some point during the course of the project.
