Hershey Brownies

Ingredients

   Brownies
   1 cup sugar
   1 cup margarine
   dash of salt
   4 eggs
   1 cup flour
   1 teaspoon vanilla
   1 - 16 ounce can Hershey syrup
   chopped nuts (optional)
   Topping
   1 1/2 cups sugar
   6 tablespoons margarine
   6 tablespoons milk

Directions

  1. Cream sugar, margarine and salt.
  2. Add eggs, beaten one at a time (it matters).
  3. Add flour, vanilla, syrup and nuts (if desired).
  4. Grease 9" x 13" pan and add mixture.
  5. Bake 30 minutes at 350o.
  6. When they come out, make topping (do not let cool).
  7. In a pan, mix sugar, margarine and milk.
  8. Bring to a rolling boil for one minute.
  9. Stir until thick, then pour over hot brownies.
