The house is fully air-conditioned, with an insulated, extra-thick roof that retains the cool air and shields heat.
The water system (entire house except for service area) is purified by both ultraviolet rays and filtration. All bedrooms are wired for stereo speakers, with phone and satellite TV jacks; all windows are screened, and the glass is lightly tinted ("filtra-sol").

There are also many access points along the main canal; one is just two long blocks from Villa Colorado, and is ideal for relaxing by the water. You can fish, or just sit and watch the boats, birds, and clouds drift by.
