Delicate Politics in OsgiliathThe idea here is that Osgiliath is divided between Gondor and "The Shadow in the East" (much in the same way as West and East Berlin). In "From Mordor with Love", the Orcs are portrayed as fighting with Russian weaponry (the basis for this is because in the film the Mouth of Sauron speaks with an Eastern European accent). The Council of Elrond has been replaced with the Last Alliance Treaty Organisation (LATO), and Frodo is always referred to as "Mr. Underhill". Another, but more subtle, political joke is the replacement of Corsairs with "Umbar Boats" (U-Boats). However, I am working on a full 2 foot ship of Gondor (which was originally, and still is, planned for game use), and we plan to use it in the film as well.
