Looking back at my childhood memories, I realized the thing I remembered most about the holidays was the family routines surrounding getting ready for Christmas. I only remember maybe two of the toys I receive. These routines become family traditions that can be looked forward to each year. Family traditions are very personal ways of celebrating together. Some can be very silly, while others can be very meanful. They can range from who carves the turkey to the Advent Wreath. Once the kids are gone, these traditions can help remind you of Holidays pass when you are alone.
