February Gardening To-do list.

February Christmas and Holiday Planner.

PLANNING

•While we are working on the living room let's do some planning for organization of the room.
•Please read 5 Easy Steps for Arranging Your Living Room Furniture
for ideas on furniture placement.

•Don't rush out and start buying more furniture and organizers right now. Wait a week or two so you can make a list of what you and your family are using the room for e.g. watching Tv, homework, mending, toe nail cutting, bill paying, sleeping, entertainment, etc. Also make a list of problems e.g. lost mail, keys or homework and your mother-in-law requiring two people to help her out of the over-stuffed chairs.
Look through your list and decide what activities need moved elsewhere e.g. toe nail cutting and what activities you will need to accommodate e.g. snoring hubby on sofa. Develop a plan to address the problems you noted.
•Make a list of what items you need handy to do the various activities the room is used for.
•And finally, how you are going to store them. See Creating Beautiful Storage Space - Where None Exists! for ideas.
•Add to your list items that need replaced e.g. slip covers, end tables, throw pillows, etc.
•Make a budget for these items.
•With a plan your living room or family room should be both functional and attractive.
