Festive Decorating for the Holidays:
Special Rooms








Bathroom

- Display red and green glycerin soaps, bath gels and oils
- Use Christmas theme soft-soap and hand-lotion dispensers or buy red and green ones
- Paint holly and berries on plain white dispensers using enamel paint
- Hang garlands or lights around bathroom mirrors and windows
- Use window stickees on the mirrors
- Spray aerosol snow on the windows and around the mirrors
- Use small gift bags to hold q-tips and cotton balls
- Use a Christmas saucer as a soap dish
- Buy red and green toothbrushes
- Buy a miniature tree in a burlap bag to display on counter
- Place a glittered cotton batting on the back of the toilet and place figurines on
- Use bath soap chalk to draw trees, holly, etc. on the outside of your tub
- Layer Holiday theme fingertip towels over larger plain towels
- Replace candles with cinnamon, pine, or bayberry ones
- Use Christmas theme rug
- Garnish decor with sprigs of greenery or Holiday picks
- Drape jingle bells from towel rack
- Fuse Christmas ribbon onto Holiday colored towels
- Hang miniature wreath over the toilet

Bedroom

-Replace pillowcases with red and green ones. Stencil on Holiday shapes, if desired, of trees, snowflakes, holly etc. on the hem
- Hang garlands or lights around bedroom mirrors and windows
- Use window stickees on the mirrors
- Spray aerosol snow on the windows and around the mirrors
- Place greens in a vase or pitcher. Decorate. Or place a miniature tree in each room and let the kids decorate their own
- Place a mantle scarf over the headboard
- Twine ribbon or wired stars around the bedpost
- Replace candles with cinnamon, pine, or bayberry ones
- Use Christmas theme rug
- Garnish decor with sprigs of greenery or Holiday picks
- Place Holiday theme pillows on the bed or remove the hanger from an ornament, tie ribbon to the top and pin to your throw pillows
- Hang garland around closet door
- Pin holiday greenery to your lamp shade
- Place table runners on your dressers

Kitchen

- Remove cups from mug rack and replace with ornaments
- Tie cookie cutters on to a kitchen curtain rod with a piece of long yarn or ribbon.
- Cover a small tree with edibles or tied on cookie cutters.
- Tie bows and bells to drawer pulls
- Fill a ceramic bowl with silver cookie cutters.
- Put votive candle inside a four-sided grater. Tie a bow to the handle.
- Make swags of dried red chili peppers or dried fruit. Hang around pot rack, windows, doors or on tops of cupboards
- Line back of cupboards with Christmas paper.
- Line shelves with bright Holiday towels.
- On top a glass cake stand place shiny Christmas balls, sprigs of greenery and small pinecones.
- Use glass jars filled with olives, tomatoes, pickles, red peppers etc. to create a red and green display.
- Hang ornaments or Holidays picks inside hanging baskets or twist around handles.
- Replace soap dispenser with Holiday theme one.
- Use Holiday theme tea towels and potholders.
- Place Christmas theme magnets on your refrigerator.
- Replace throw rug with a holiday theme one.
- Use bows, sprigs of greenery or holly to decorate your decor.
- Replace seat cushions with Holiday theme fabric.
- Use a guilt with Christmas colors as a tablecloth.
- Fill crockery bowl with scented pinecones and dried apple and orange rings.
- Tie organdy Christmas aprons to curtain rod for valance.
- Make herb wreath.
